Photography Success Tip

Sometimes we can get down and out in our attitude. Running a business is very hard. Some days are great and a few are “bad”. It’s the ups and downs of ANY entrepreneur.

Here are a three tips to get your going… to keep you focused on the positive & good. It can/will change your mindset.

1. Kind Words Journal (or folder or list or notebook) – This the place to put the nice things people say. I like to always get testimonials from my clients for TWO reasons. One for my own HEART and the other for my marketing. When I read them, they make me feel amazing and it is re-energizing! If they email it, print it out and paste it in your journal. If its on facebook, print it out too!

2.  Personal Success Journal (or folder or list) – write DOWN your successes! Write them down EVERYDAY. What successes did you have today. Writ down at least five! Some days you an write 15 of them! Review them. Celebrate them. You ARE better than you think are (especially when you feel down!). Review it from time to time. This will force you brain to look for the “good” & stay positive.  They can be LITTLE things – little successes. Those add up!

3. Vision Board – We are visual people! We need visual beauty in our lives. We need reminders of WHY we work outrtails off! We want a “BIG” life. All directors use a storyboard to lay out their movies. Why not do the same thing for your life? Become the star in your own movie. Create your own vision statement. You might have 7 different vision boards for different goals/visions in your life. For example: If you have always wanted to do a triathlon. Go buy a  couple magazines on the topic. Cut out the magazine title. Cut out some images of people running, biking, & swimming. Go to a triathlon and take images of people doing it. Paste those things up on your board. Make it a DAILY visual reminder of your goals. Do a couple doodles on it. Make positive statements.
