A Monkey Can Press The Shutter!
Why do people think pressing the shutter makes you a photographer?
I know a high end photographer who PAYS someone to press the shutter after he has set everything up, from the concept, to the lighting, posing, background selection, lens selection, DOF selection, composition, … Isn’t that the real work?
Pressing the shutter is the last necessary step that any monkey could do.
Don’t be a monkey… think of yourself as an ART DIRECTOR.
PRETEND someone else is pressing the shutter and YOU are setting it up.
How would you approach your photography if the next session YOU could NOT press the shutter?
How much more time would you give to lighting, posing, composition, …
